Visitor Policies, Terms and Conditions Agreement

By purchasing and making an appointment I have read and agree to abide by the all policies, terms, and conditions listed below:

VISITOR POLICIES and INFORMATION for HARVEST CREEK FARM

By purchasing tickets to visit, you agree to abide by the policies, guidelines, terms, and conditions listed below. We reserve the right to refuse service or ask anyone to leave the property who is not following the farm guidelines, terms, and conditions, being abusive to the animals or staff, or is disrupting the operations of the farm in any way with their behavior.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Visitors can cancel and reschedule their reservations (based on availability) up to 24 hours prior to their scheduled visit. Less than 24 hours Prior to Appointment Time: No Refund

BIOSECURITY FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR ANIMALS AND VISITORS:

***Sheep and goats can carry a dangerous spore, which turns into Malignant Cathharal Fever in Cervidae Deer Populations. This spore is airborne, and can live on your shoes and clothing. We ask that you avoid contact with sheep and goats at least one week before your visit to the reindeer farm (yeah, we know, they are super cute but keep in mind they can be deadly to our herd). There’s a reason you never see reindeer at the State Fair.***

•All visitors are required to sanitize shoes upon entry.

The foot bath is an industrial tray that you walk through so the bottom of your shoes are sterilized. This is liquid and does contain bleach. If children step through, allow them to walk off the solution before picking them up or ask the staff person to give you a paper towel to dry. You may also request to wipe the bottom of your shoes with the spray solution on a paper towel instead of stepping through the bath if you have delicate shoe material that might be damaged by bleach contact.

•All visitors are required to sanitize hands. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry and throughout the property. Visitors are required to sanitize their hands before and after feeding or touching animals.

VISITOR POLICIES:

•Visitors will treat all animals, staff, and property with respect and kindness.

•Visitors will take extra care not to reach or throw objects into the animal habit areas and dispose of all trash in designated receptacles.

•Visitors will interact with animals (including petting and feeding) with the direction and guidance of staff.

•Visitors will not bring outside food or drinks into the farm.

•Visitors will maintain a smoke and vape-free environment everywhere on the property, including the parking lots.

•Visitors will stay in designated common areas of the property.

•Visitors provide supervision of all children under the age of 18 in their group.

•Harvest Creek Farm is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property, any lost and found items are taken to the gift shop.

PETS:

Pets are NOT allowed inside the pastures of Harvest Creek Farm. Service animals are allowed, but visitors are to alert the Staff upon arrival, who will contact one of the farm owners to give you special assistance. Reindeer are prey animals and see dogs as a predator. Donkeys naturally view dogs as a threat as well. Both reindeer and mini donkeys can become extremely frightened and hurt themselves trying to get away from other animals. To keep our animals safe and calm, service animals will not be able to enter the reindeer barn or pasture where the spaces are tight, and our animals are in a confined space for exhibition. All other areas of the farm are suitable for service animals.

PETTING AND FEEDING ANIMALS:

•The happiness of our animals comes first. We don’t force our animals to do anything they don’t want to do. Most of the time they willingly interact with visitors and enjoy the contact. Occasionally they smell or sense something they don’t like and will back up. They also do not respond well to yelling or screaming, so keep in mind that gentle inside voices will improve your opportunities for interaction.

•Due to the factors mentioned above, we do not guarantee petting or feeding.

•Our farm staff will provide animal feed (no extra charge) and guidance for interacting with animals.

•All Visitors will assume liability and responsibility for safety, including minors in their group.

FOOD ALLERGIES:
